Marguerite de Galbert
COMPOSER FOR THE SCREEN & Stage
"The most sensitive musical instrument is the human soul.
The next is the human voice.
One must purify the soul until it begins to sound.
Through the music the composer can check whether his instrument is tuned,
and to what key it is tuned."
- Arvo Pärt
ABOUT
"I unfold my musical language to bring your stories to life."
Marguerite works as a composer and arranger for short and feature films, animated films, video games, vocal and instrumental ensembles, alongside with her work as a conductor and musical theatre artist in Paris.

As a passionate multi-instrumentalist since childhood, she discovered experimental music at King's College London. She then joined the Film Scoring Academy of Europe where she learned film music composition, computer-assisted music, orchestration and studio recording from Andy Hill, Conrad Pope, Christopher Young and Mikolai Stroinski.
Her Breton origins and travels stimulated her passion for folk music and improvisation: Celtic, African, Oriental and Balkan sonorities are particularly close to her heart. Her style combines traditional, orchestral, vocal and electronic textures.
